The hidden half of domestic violence
How to have eternal life
HATE! part 2
In "Hate" (part 1),
we talked about hate and how it damages people.
Shortly after writing this message on hate, I posted a message in
Shattered Men that shows the pure hate presented by the Westboro
Baptist church in Topeka Kansas. I am calling out the name here
because they do not direct this hate at the sin, they direct it at
I believe this is so important; I am reposting that message here:
When I was researching this to get some pictures of hate to use on
the web site, (I did not find any I wanted to use) I came across a
so called church that preaches and teaches more hate then anyone I
have ever seen. I doubt if the KKK or Hitler himself could undo
these so called Christians.
Their web site is even worse.
When I looked at their contact page, they had a list of rules to
contact them. They do not want to hear anyone else but I had to try
anyway. I sent this:
I was going to try...TRY to help you but I doubt if GOD HIMSELF
could do so. I firmly believe you drive far more away from GOD then
you will ever bring to HIM.
I doubt very much you know about LOVE your enemy...do good to them
that abuse you. THIS is part of God's Word too.
Paul also told us that the Terror of the LORD caused him to persude
2 Corinthians 5:11
Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we
are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in
Many of these people you picket to bring them to GOD have been
rejected most of their life and you are rejecting them again. In
reality, you may just as well tell them to go to hell. You are
doing a very good job at assuring they will not turn to the LORD.
I work in a ministry where we have heard this many times. Half of
our work is to offset "Christians" just like you that have all but
driven them away from GOD when they were looking for someone to love
them, someone to care. Many have responded to love. One person
called me at 3 AM to cuss me out and he did so for at least 15
minutes. I then had a chance to talk to him and by 4 AM, his anger
was gone because he met the PRINCE OF PEACE and had placed his trust
in Jesus Christ. He was angry because of the way "Christians" had
treated him far too often.
I could say more but I doubt if you really care. You tell us to
enter if we are not afraid of the truth? How about YOU? Are you
willing to know the truth?
THIS hate is wrong. I doubt that even the KKK can hate this much. I
am embarrassed to have themselves call them "Christian"…but please
hear me. Not everyone that proclaims to be a Christian is one.
They use scripture out of context and show they do not know the
nature of GOD. For example, they use verses such as Malachi 1:2-3
I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou
loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved
Jacob, And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage
waste for the dragons of the wilderness.
And Luke 14:26
"If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and
mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and
his own life also, he cannot be my disciple."
We need to remember that terms which define emotions or affections
are often comparative. We see this in Matthew 12:47-50. When we
compare our love for any human to the love we should have for the
LORD, it would be a contrast such as this. GOD's word can not
contradict itself for if we were to hate anyone, we would violate the
LORD's command to love even our enemies:
Matthew 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love
thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love
your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate
you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
It sure does not sound like this group obey this scripture.
Amos 5:15 tells us to "Hate the evil, and love the good"
Why am I so concerned with this?
It will drive far more away from GOD then it will ever bring to HIM.
John chapter 12 tells us that if Christ is lifted up, HE will draw
all men to HIM and 1 Corinthians 13 tells us that without
LOVE...nothing we do will matter. Folks, people can tell if we are
doing what we do because we care about THEM.
There are some things that we are told that GOD hates.
16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an
abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in
running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord
To sum this lesson up…GOD hates…SIN!
He detests anything that would keep one from coming to Jesus Christ
for salvation. Why? Sin hurts PEOPLE. You see, sin always cost and
it always cost more then we can afford. We see this in the Hidden
Cost of Sin.
The highest and the ultimate cost for sin, is eternal separation from
GOD. The worse part...is that it is needless. Jesus Christ paid the
cost for all sin. All we need to do to have this price be paid for
our sin, is to ask.
You can find out how in detail in this link:
YES…there are things that GOD hates…but the thing HE hates the most
is the rejection of the payment Jesus Christ made for our sin. The
best way for us to help others not to reject this payment is to love
them to the LORD. Yes, there are times in which we need to show
tough love. We need to remind those that want to put off trusting
Christ that we are not promised our next breath and that if we die
without Christ, we face the judgment which will in turn separate us
from God for eternity…but far more have been brought to the LORD when
they realize that they do need HIM…and that HE loves them so much
that HE would have given HIS life even if they were the only one to
Contrary to this web sites statement, John 3:16 does not exclude
anyone: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life. "Whosoever" includes YOU my friend. There is not
a sin HE can not forgive. There is not a person HE can not love.
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count
slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any
should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
IF you do not know HIM my friend…come to JESUS…today. Tomorrow may
be …TOO LATE!
