The hidden half of domestic violence

How to have eternal life

Gethsemane

In the garden he went to pray when it seemed hope was gone
He prayed with a broken heart
He prayed all alone.

Have you had a Gethsemane
Have you prayed in despair
In the dark of the dreary hour
Did the Lord hear your prayer

Have you had a Gethsemane
Have you prayed the night through
Have you shed tears of agony
When no hope was in view

Have you prayed If it be thy will
may this cup pass from me
but if its thy will dear LORD
I will bear it for thee.

Have you had a Gethsemane
Have you prayed the night through
Have you shed tears of agony
When no hope was in view

Have you prayed If it be thy will
may this cup pass from me
but if its thy will dear LORD
I will bear it for thee.

Once again, I am sitting here, listening to music such as above and
now listening to another song playing "I've just seen Jesus...I know
that HE's alive..... It goes on to say...and I know HE saw me too...

As I sit here, I can look out some windows facing the Eastern sky and
I wonder...How long My LORD....how long before YOU break that Eastern
sky wide open as you come for us.

You see, I know all to well the answer to that first question posted
in the song above..."Have you had a Gethsemane" I have seen it in
your post. I have heard it in your voice on the phone with many of
you. I have seen it several times recently as some have posted that
they have chosen to stay in an abusive relationship because they are
the only JESUS their loved ones will see and they want so much to
show them JESUS has HE really is. Someone that loves them so very
much that HE allows them the free will that we all value so very much
in spite of the intense pain it may cause to those that love them the
most.

I know full well that some of you have prayed the night through. I
know all too well that you have shed tears of agony when no hope was
in view. Sometimes the best thing we can say to those that are
facing this, is nothing. Just being there, and maybe helping them to
cry is the best we can do. I know. I have helped some of you do just
this.

My precious friend (and believe me, I do not say this lightly for you
are indeed precious to me and most of all to our LORD) it is so easy
to get frustrated, to get tired and to feel you are alone and
abandoned. If this is hitting home right now, please remember that
one fateful night a couple thousand years ago when the SON of the
Living God was in that garden...alone. You know, HE actually prayed
for YOU that night. HE had YOU in mind when HE was thinking about
the events HE knew HE would be facing the next day. The beatings,
the nails being driven into HIS hands and feet. HE thought of you as
HIS Father turned HIS back on HIM.

He also promised that WE would never ....NEVER ever have to face this
rejection. HE has promised never to leave or forsake those that have
trusted in HIM.

So my friend, if you are in Gethsemane today, please do not be
discourage for well doing. That Eastern sky will break wide open
someday and those tears we have poured out shall be turned to JOY.

If you have not trusted Christ, you may well be all alone. You can
change that...

Tells you how you can make sure you will never be alone again..and it
promises that someday the tears we shed will be turned to JOY...

A parade began at Calvary
The saints of all the ages fill its ranks
For the sand of time their marching
To their King great coronation
And this could be the dawning of that day

All the saints are getting restless
Oh what glorious expectation feels each face
Dreams and hopes of all the ages
Are waiting His returning
And this could be the dawning of that day

Oh this could be the dawning of that grand and glorious day
When the face of Jesus we behold
Dreams and hopes of all the ages
Are waiting His returning
And this could be the dawning of that day

THIS COULD BE THE DAWNING OF THAT DAY!!!!
